Dear {Name},
Thanks so much for reaching out regarding volunteering for {school/organization/cause}. Fortunately or unfortunately, we currently have a full stable of volunteers. We don't have the {space/supervision} to take on any more.
You mentioned that you have a heart for {children/animals/recycling/etc.}. Might I suggest that you consider volunteering with {other organization}? They seem to fly under the radar and I'm confident that {director/volunteer coordinator} would appreciate your generous gift of time.
We cycle out volunteers {quarterly/each semester/etc.}. I'll hang onto your letter and get back to you at that time in the hopes that you're still available.
Sincerely,
{Name}
